Paralympic Disability categories

For literacy we were having discussions and learning about the many different categories there are for sports and events in the Paralympics. It is a very confusing system but one that the paralympic committee think is fair. In groupd we each researched the six main categories and then found past and present NZ athletes with theses disabilities to research. We all found this really interesting and enjoyed getting to understand our Paralympians and people in our country better.

The Olympics History By - Sani, Sione & Sio

Today for Literacy we were learning about the Olympic History. We were split into 2 groups of 4 and the rest in groups of three. This was a big task but it was really interesting. Half way throughthe activity we were able to stop and watch some of our New Zealand athletes compete while we were working.

Aston, Jonah and Vili - Ancient Olympics

Today for inquiry Aston, Vili and I did an activity about ancient Olympics, this one was hard and easy at the same time and did you know that in the ancient Olympics athletes competed with no clothes. Here are our slides!

Ana - Finding Nemo after reading activity

Today in class me and my class were doing reading and our after reading activity included a clip from the movie Finding Nemo. It was easy to do the activity. It was hard comparing the video. I really liked this activity because it talked about perserverance which is a word I've heard before but never really understood. Alfonsus & Sani Luke ll 4 : 8.

WALT : Identify various ways people worship God through krarkia in the church. Today we worked in pairs to complete our Religious Education (RE) activity. We spent some time discussing in groups and with our teacher and then we broke off intoour own groups. Usually the two of us don't work together necause we like to talk but we're both very good with our RE so today was different. Here is our actvity.

WALT: Identify some of the difficulties which faced the Early Church communities Today for Re the year sixes and I were doing our slide which is for the year sixes and for every slide we had to do it on a gooogle drawing.
