We made bookmarks!
In Te Wairua Pakiki 4 (TWP4) we do a lot of reading! So much reading in fact that we decided we all needed new bookmarks to help us keep our places in our books. We followed a really easy tutorial for the main shape of the book marks and then we enjoyed decorating and making them our own.
You can try too!
Here are some of our finished products.

Andy Warhol: Part 2 By Aisake
This term for art we are researching Andy Warhol and the origins of "Pop Art" and his use of
repetition. Today in class we are blogging about Andy Warhol and starting our own piece of art.
We first took a photo of ourselves on our netbooks and repeated it 5 more times. Next week we get to
start colouring ourselves in!

Andy Warhol - By Stella
This term for art we are researching Andy Warhol and the origins
of “Pop Art” and his use of repetition. Pop art is a type of art called
pop art, and it began in the 1950s. Pop art is a style of art based on
simple things like bold images of everyday items, such as soup
cans, painted in bright colours!!! Today in class, we began our
portraits. The first thing we did was take a picture from our heat to
our solder. The next thing we did was repeat the image 6 times. I
liked this Andy Warhol art because I am learning a new task which I
think is really interesting. After all, we are making a copy of his
creation. It was easy because you just had to copy and paste your
picture 6 times and write how you made it.
