Reconciling with God and our relationships with others - By Kamaea

Think of a time when you had an argument with someone and you had to
reconcile with them.
1.What did you do? I apologised and they forgave me.
2. How did it make them feel once you reconciled? They were cheerful
and we became friends again.
3. How did it make you feel? amazing and not worried
______________________________________________________

  • Imagine what the story is behind the picture
  • Suggest some ways these relationships could be reconciled
We chose a picture and created a story about how the people in the picture
forgave and made peace with each other here is my story...

Story of what I think is behind the picture and how their relationship
could be reconciled: There were two little kids they were arguing about the
boys' lolly packet. I would say the girls' name is Ella, and the boys' name is Jacob,
Anyways, Ella stole the lollie packet off Jacob. Jacob felt sad and went
outside and started crying. Ella then saw Jacob, she felt terrible for herself
of what she did to Jacob, so she went to Jacob and apologised. She asked
him if he can forgive her and give back the lollie packet. It took a while for
Jacob to forgive her. But when Jacob was ready, he forgave her, and they both
shared the lollie packet together. When she apologised, and Jacob forgave
her, they both made peace and were back to friends. They were both so happy!

Today in R.E, we are learning how to reconcile with God and others if relationships are broken. If you do not know what reconcile means, it means to make peace,
apologising to people if you have treated them wrong, and asking them if they can forgive you.

Caritas Keep it simple for Lent Action Plan - By Taniela

This week in class, we are talking about Lent. This year I'm giving up. Playing too
much, because I might get patellofemoral pain again.
Giving up lying, because it's disrespectful.
Stop polluting, It's bad for our environment.
Games you'll be addicted.

Prayer- I hope the weak, and the poor became the strong and the rich, and I hope the world would
have no virus-like coronavirus. I hope the world would become a peaceful place.
Amen.

Give- I got mad because Mrs Nees-Kairua said I had love notes in my pencil case,
but that was a joke, so I got over it and became happy.

Live-  I Had thoughts bad one and good ones. But always we would have a peek,
and a Truff a peek means when something good happens, and traffic means you
had something bad today, so all I did was say negative words and truthful words

So- while we were playing my friend Sony said I'm not good at soccer,
but I said keep trying you'll get great at it I use to be bad at soccer and rugby, but I kept
on trying and look at me now.

Find- today I search up on google where's the most displaced country it is in Syria, South
Sudan, Iraq, Pakistan, Sudan, and Nigeria so I prayed and said bless this country.

Create- every year on easter we make cards for old people in retirement some

of us wrote good stuff and bad stuff

Eastview Water Testing with Frazer - By Jabez

On Tuesday the 10th of March Frazer came to St Pius X so we could go see if our local
stream in Glen Innes is clean, clear, and to see if there is excellent, good, fair, or bad life at our stream.
When we got there we saw a statue, I think it was an entrance that they used to use a long time ago.
Anyway, he showed us a magnifying glass that detectives use when they are solving a mystery or a
murder. Then he showed us this tube with a magnet inside it, and there's another magnet, so you can
move the magnet in the tube and look through a hole at the bottom of the tube and water from the
stream there's water from the stream so when you move, the magnate you have to try to not lose sight
of it.

Then we lastly did an experiment on our water to see how much life/oxygen in our stream. There are
about seven small tubes that start from light blue and go to dark blue. Our water stopped at I think
number there, so it was a fair I wish it could be a lot better. What I would do to make our local stream
clean, bright and not polluted.

How much life do you think is in your stream?

Have you ever done an experiment in your local stream and why?

What would you do to make sure that your local stream is
healthy and has life in it?

Summary I would like to go back again one year later because of
I would like to see if there is a change of life.

Andy Warhol - By Stella

This term for art we are researching Andy Warhol and the origins
of “Pop Art” and his use of repetition. Pop art is a type of art called
pop art, and it began in the 1950s. Pop art is a style of art based on
simple things like bold images of everyday items, such as soup
cans, painted in bright colours!!! Today in class, we began our
portraits. The first thing we did was take a picture from our heat to
our solder. The next thing we did was repeat the image 6 times. I
liked this Andy Warhol art because I am learning a new task which I
think is really interesting. After all, we are making a copy of his
creation. It was easy because you just had to copy and paste your
picture 6 times and write how you made it.

I am looking forward to next week because we will get to colour our
self-portrait.

Ash Wednesday - By Zenith

Walt: Describe Lent as a time of spiritual growth and renewal for individual people and the Church community.

On Wednesday the 26th February, St Pius X Catholic School had a very important mass. We went to the Church for Ash Wednesday. There was a story about Jesus and how he travelled to a village for 34-days. Ash Wednesday is a Christian holy day of prayer and fasting. It is preceded by Shove Tuesday.

For lent I am going to give up being naughty and try my hardest to be nicer to people around me.

Going to Goat Island was a very awesome and exhausting experience, it was so fun that I would stay there for days. There was so many things that was special for me and one of them is that the water was clean. That makes me happy because that means some people are taking care of the earth. Another thing that was special to me was the creature that lived in the water. They were safe and they had a lot of food and somewhere to call home. There was a lot of excitement in the air because we had a lot of creatures, rocks, stingrays, snapper, seaweed and a lot of tiny fish. It was also exciting because we went snorkeling. We learn that to keep everything safe. To help our world .
