This term we have been looking at the living world - mostly the prehistoric life. Our WALT is to explain how we know that some living things from the past are now extinct.
Did you know that the first living creatures appeared in the oceans about one billion years ago. For this lesson we learnt about trilobites.
Trilobite ("three lobed") are extinct arthropods which were the first animals known to have eyes. They were the most common animal in the world during the early Palaeozoic era. They lived worldwide, but only in salt water environments.
